The Art of Deception (Part 1)
If ignorant both of your enemy and yourself, you are certain to be in peril.’—Sun Tzu
That quote is from a book considered by many to be a masterpiece, The Art of War. I read it many years ago as research for my first novel, The Genocide Files. Machiavelli’s, The Prince was also part of my research effort. I saw a unity of thought and purpose that ran through and connected both books. Even though the writer’s lived hundreds of years apart their messaging was really about the same things – deception, manipulation, and control.
Both thinkers were preoccupied with how to gain, wield, and preserve power effectively. Strategy, for both men, was not just about brute strength or idealism. It was about achieving objectives through calculated reasoning, a deep understanding of human nature, and a clear focus on desired outcomes. Both were realists. They did not concern themselves with what ought to be, but with what works in the real world — whether in war (Sun Tzu) or politics (Machiavelli).
That is precisely how deception works; it always seeks power and control. Satan has concrete objectives and uses calculated methods to achieve them. He exploits our ignorance of God, of himself, and our own nature to lead us toward destruction. Only our Creator, God, knows more about human nature than our enemy. Christ informed us as to Satan’s purpose and plans. He said:
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 KJV
The thief refers to Satan and he wants You! Deception and manipulation are his weapons of choice. Over the next four blog posts, my purpose is to expose Satan’s plans and how he has implemented them in our modern world. Like any leader, he needed a plan and a way to execute it. Satan called his evil angels or “spirit counselors” together to coordinate their efforts. He was intentional because he understood from Bible prophesy that his time was very short. Contrary to popular belief, Satan is a meticulous Bible student and believes its every word.
The Enemy’s Strategy
Satan formulated his plan about three-hundred years ago in a conclave near Montreal Canada. During that time Montreal was mostly a wilderness but it suited our enemy well. Of course, we do not have any eyewitnesses to that conclave but its white smoke of deliberations can still be seen circling our world today. That white smoke signaled that Satan and his emissaries had formulated a new masterplan designed just for our “Time of the End.” What was their scheme?
Well, we can only scratch the surface here but the plan was ingenious and diabolical. We have both prophecy and history as our witnesses. I will start by sharing a historical reflection from a defector from Satan’s ranks. Roger Morneau, a former member of a satanic church, with high priests and devout members, revealed their plans. This is what he learned.
Revealing the Plan: Testimony from Roger Morneau
“Satan and all the spirit counselors held a great general council with one purpose in mind, it was to prepare for the great industrial age, (which) was soon to break upon the world and Lucifer also foresaw another age that was to follow that, where tremendous scientific discoveries would be made by people and it would enter a unique age that would change the way that everybody lives.
It would also serve to usher in the end times and the close of the great controversy between the forces of good and evil. And the priest said that Lucifer had been studying the Bible and he found in Daniel 12:4, where we were told about the time of the end, many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. (We) understood it to be that we're getting to that point and he had with all the spirit counselors to change their modes of operation in order to ensnare people and deceive (in) a way whereby people would disqualify themselves from being members of Christ's kingdom.”
In that “Great General Council,” the hordes of evil angels laid out their plans for the time of the end. Morneau addressed each point.
The Three Deceptions
1. Deny Satan’s Existence
“And by the time the council came to a close, they had three major policies that were going to be followed. First, they were to see to it that humans would be made to believe that Satan and his angels do not really exist.”
This first step is classic misdirection. If the enemy is unseen and unbelieved, he can work unopposed. Sun Tzu understood such artifice and warned us of its peril.
2. Control the Mind through Hypnosis and Mysticism
Morneau stated that the second objective of the council would build on the first deception -- mind control. Morneau continued:
“The second one was to find a way of being able to get total control of people's minds and that would be done by taking hypnotism out of the realm of the occult and introduce it as a new science for the benefit of mankind. They felt that by taking hypnotism out of the realm of the occult and introducing it as a new science for the benefit of mankind, they could then use people of great renowned, educators, people of capacity, now this would be a way of de-Christianizing the Western world through the avenue of mysticism.”
Let’s see how that plays out in our world today. This quote from Gene Roddenberry pulls back the curtain on the evil puppet master.
“Probably the most often asked question about the show is, is why the Star Trek phenomenon? How can a simple space opera with blinking lights and zap guns and a hobgoblin with pointy ears reach out and touch the hearts and minds of literally millions of people and become a cult in some cases. Obviously, what this means is that television has incredible power. Ultimate power in this world, as you know, has always been one simple thing - the control and manipulation of minds.”
That statement reveals television’s real function: not entertainment but mass manipulation. Television was created for the control and manipulation of the masses of the world. Take the time to just look around your world and you will see that Satan’s first two objectives have been met spectacularly.
Screens bring us entertainment and news, feed us as we convalesce in hospitals, and rock us to sleep at night. Computers and cell phones are the opiates of our age and bend minds in almost every country of the world. The information they carry control our thinking and compel our behavior, but the worse is yet to come.
3. Destroy the Bible Without Burning It
Satan’s third objective was his “coup de grace.” I will quote Morneau as he summarized what he witnessed to an interviewer. An excerpt of that conversation follows.
Interviewer: Now what were those three points again, Roger? The three things were number one, that they did not want, – (1) Satan did not want the human family to think that he or his angels existed. (2) The second point that you made had to do with taking control of people's minds. The third point was what?
Roger: (3) Was to destroy the Bible without burning it.
Interviewer: Okay. And what was the strategy on that?
Roger: On that, it was very interesting, because after the Great General Counsel, it was decided that Satan would tutor Charles Darwin personally in setting up the principles of his theories of evolution. He was tutored by Lucifer himself, following Lucifer. And at that time, it was understood, Satan and his spirit counselors understood, that if a person was led to believe in the theory of evolution, it would in his life destroy completely the creation week of the Bible, the fall of man and redemption, it would do away with it.
Interviewer: In one fell swoop!
Evolution: Satan’s Coup de Grâce
Charles Darwin was born a hundred years after Satan’s great conclave, but he was chosen. This underscores the fact that men and women are chosen both by God and His adversary to carry out their plans. It also shows us that in the spiritual realm, plans are laid out hundreds and even thousands of years in advance, like a building, row-by-row and course-by-course.
Satan called and chose Darwin to spread his false gospel of evolution. Roddenberry’s statement also hints at the spiritual root of the evolutionary worldview—a doctrine exalted in the Star Trek series. The lie of evolution was designed to burn the Bible and with it our belief in our Creator God. It made random chance the deity that most people worship today.
Taken together those three deceptions have virtually captured the minds of all humanity. Some of their effects are above the surface where most people are aware of them, but the most damaging aspects of those deceptions lie beneath the surface, in the subconscious, so that most people are not aware of them. Worse still, is that most people do not care to know how the enemy has deceived them, blissful in their ignorance! They herded people into ovens in World War II, but now people are line-dancing into oblivion. That was Satan’s plan over three- hundred years ago.
To the best of my ability, I will explain the 3-points of Satan’s triangle of deception and show you where we are in his masterplan, now. Prophecy and history will be our litmus test as we do it. Fortunately, God’s plan of salvation will win the day and His plan is what allows us to share what we have learned. That too is prophecy and history.
