Righteousness Exalteth a Nation!
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34 KJV
Those words of Scripture written nearly three thousand years ago, are truer today as then. King Solomon wrote those words speaking from personal experience. He knew firsthand how quickly a nation would decline under evil leadership. During our last election cycle Americans should have taken his counsel to heart. We had a decade of warning before we cast a collective vote in favor of anarchy. We witnessed multiple criminal accusations and convictions of the man who would be king. We had 960+ pages of his vision of America in “Project 2025,” yet ignored it all. Instead of jail, where he belonged, he was placed in the highest elected office in the land.
As I look back on that election, I realize that there was a prophetic-historic inevitability to its outcome. We saw the collision of our past sins and our looming judgment, yet pressed our foot harder on the pedal. Like lemmings before the precipice, we drove headlong into darkness. Both the Bible and history gave us ample precedent.
I shared the biblical prophecies in my latest book, My Story His Glory: Decoding Daniel, Revelation, and America’s Destiny. In it, I stated that America holds a central role in the time of the end events. Revelation 13 signifies that America is the beast that comes up out of the earth and hypocrisy is the warp and woof of her creed. At her birth, she preached liberty but practiced tyranny. Her greatest genius was hiding that deception in plain sight. No, I do not hate America, I loathe her myths, lies, and deception.
Nor do I dislike America; I hate her exaggerated pretense to righteous exceptionalism, while she excuses the sins that made her exceptional. America proclaims the highest ideals, yet lives with unspeakable moral atrocities. Instead of repentance, America blames her victims for their victimization and mocks their suffering. As with Abel’s earth, every inch of American soil is stained with the blood of innocents and cries out for justice. This too is historic and prophetic. In history, Sodom is our warning.
As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. Ezekiel 16:48-49 KJV
The sins that God is calling America to account is not homosexuality alone. I will expound on what the Bible says.
“Pride”
America’s haughty, self-sufficient attitude, is stamped on every continent and every country where she plants her flag. Most American’s see themselves as superior, due to their wealth, culture, and lifestyle. As with Sodom, pride blinds us to our need for God and our responsibility to others.
“Fulness of bread”
We have material abundance and our basic needs are met—many even luxuriously so. We worship our excess and hoard our blessings, forgetting that it is by God’s hand that we have such favor. Material wealth is not condemned in the Bible—it is how people relate to and use it that matters.
“Abundance of idleness”
Sodom’s people had leisure and resources but used them for pleasure and self-indulgence rather than service. Idleness led to complacency, decadence, and eventually extreme injustice.
Sodom mocked the poor and the needy, ignoring their very right to life. That was the climax of her sin and of America’s: intentional neglect of the least of these. I fear this will be an excuse to eliminate them altogether.
This shows that God's judgment on Sodom was not just about sexual immorality (as often is highlighted) but was deeply tied to social injustice and neglect. Immigration policy, suppression of Black Americans and others, stripping people of Medicaid and Medicare, reductions in Social Security, and eliminating USAID, is not Sodom being repeated? Sodom lacked even ten righteous leaders. The same can be said of America.
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Proverbs 29:2 KJV
America is mourning, but she is not repentant. Many Americans regret their vote and have marched in protests at their demigod’s betrayal. Their angry tears reveal secret motives. They expected others to suffer, not themselves. DEI was no benefit to “them” and “their” families, so they thought, ignoring the spiritual truth that when you take away the rights of others you take away your own. They knew that truth and ignored it.
Certainly, this is why the attack on books, public broadcasting, museums, and everything else exposing truthful accounts of American history is being expunged. Presumably the thinking is, “If it is not recorded, it did not happen.” The reality is, our genetic memory will not allow us to forget what has transpired on these shores. The anguish of the morning lash and clanging of auction block chains; the jeers of mob celebrations around Black burnt, hanging bodies from tree limbs, cannot be erased by laws or lies. Those atrocities are branded onto our genes. America may call it wokeism or CRT, but to us, it is just another day in Mr. Rogers pristine fabricated neighborhood.
Yes, history is repeating before our very eyes, and many alive today witnessed yesterday’s horror of political extremism. I speak now of Nazi Germany.
The Nazis attempted to found a 1000-year Third Reich and create a “pure race” in the process. The Final Solution was their systematic plan to annihilate the Jewish people during World War II. It was the culmination of years of escalating anti-Semitic policies by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime. It led to mass shootings (mobile killing units – Einsatzgruppen), deportations, concentration camps, and finally extermination camps. Six million European Jews died in approximately 5 years!
It only took five years for generations of history and culture to be obliterated as the rest of the world looked the other way. The Jews of Europe could not forget their genocide and the world’s compliancy. Their resolve was simple - “Never Again.”
We must recognize that Project 2025 goals mirror those of the old Third Reich, but are cloaked in new glowing rhetoric. Trump declared at his inauguration that – “The Golden Age of America begins right now!” The studied among us understand that the golden age must be preceded by a time of upheaval in society with its destruction of life and property.
Black Americans must have like resolve as European Jews and believe that it can happen here because it has happened here! Wilmington, Rosewood, Tulsa, I need not say more! Most importantly, we must understand what God’s plan is for us and heed Bible prophecy. Imbedded in God’s warnings are His promises!
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. Revelation 18:4-6 KJV
Governments and individuals will be judged and punished for their wrong doings, doubly. God warns us to leave behind our love for this world, our trust in its rulers, our plans, schemes, and dreams, and place Him first. God warns us that His judgment is swift and final. It is not The Final Solution or Project 2025 that we should fear, rather it is receiving the mark of the beast – worshipping false gods. Now is the time to look up for our Redemption draweth nigh!
